Trust me I’m a…

Who do you trust today? The news is regularly filled with examples of people who have broken trust. They have usually presented themselves as an honest individual, but then said something or done something that reveals the true heart of dishonesty – people who cannot be believed or trusted.

You are beautiful

On Sunday morning October 14th 2012, I was waking up to modest birthday celebrations. At about the same time an Austrian man named Felix Baumgartner jumped out of a balloon that had ascended 128,000 feet into the edge of space. As he peered down, moments before he took the plunge he tweeted these fabulous words: “Live from space! World, you are beautiful.”

Don’t panic, just enjoy the gift

I can’t think of many things that are more scary than the prospect of hearing your wife scream from the bathroom that your baby is coming! I found it hard enough to control the adrenaline enough to drive to the hospital with a few hours notice, but when these things are about to happen there’s not much you can do to stop them.

As the much awaited London Olympic Games approach I wonder if you’re getting ready. More-so I wonder how those who will be taking part are getting ready, how is the preparation? How are all those hours of training going?

As I write this I’m beginning to get quite excited. The Olympic Games are coming to London and, in the last few days, I’ve succeeded at last in getting some tickets to an Olympic event. Excitement is mounting because I missed out in the first allocation, I fancied nothing that was on offer in the second attempt and I thought that my desire to be there in person, intimately involved as a spectator at an Olympic event, was gone.
