Acts 2:46-47 (NIV) They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
House Groups are a way to experience God’s gift of church family in a smaller setting. At Castle Hill there are a range of house groups. One will almost certainly be an ideal fit for your spiritual journey.
Thursday House Group
Between 6 & 10 of us usually meet twice a month at the home of Chris & Christine McNee. We study the scriptures, pray together, chat and enjoy Mrs McNee’s cake. The meeting begins at 8pm and it all finishes by 10pm approx. More information is available by emailing Chris McNee.
WOW – Women of the Word
WOW is a house group that is held on alternative Thursday mornings between 10am and 12 noon. All women are welcome; at the moment we comprise mums with pre-school children. This house group welcomes children and as they play we study the Bible through guides and devotionals. WOW is not, though, ONLY for mums – all women who are available during Thursday mornings are welcome to join us.
WOW is there to inspire, empower and enable women to continue and grow in their relationship with Jesus, helping them understand how to live everyday life in the way God wants them to. We are all there for each other in prayer and in the understanding of God’s word. This house group is here to help women feel safe to explore their faith and to give them the confidence to be the best Christian women they can be. Contact Kath Burke for more details.
Town Centre House Group
We meet at 8pm on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. In our time of fellowship together we use the study and interactive discussion time to see what lessons there are in the scriptures for our lives today. Our prayer time is vital for individual and the fellowship needs. Contact Alan Skillicorn for details.
Hatton Park House Group
We are currently a small group, though we are open to new members. We meet twice a month, with coffee and biscuits, beginning at 8pm and finishing around 10pm. Through open discussion we aim to help each other grow in our understanding of the Bible and how to apply it to our daily lives.
We support and encourage one another and we especially like to pray. If anyone is interested in joining, you would be most welcome. Please speak to Fiona Baxter or Maureen Smith.
Daytime House Group
All ages are welcomed. We meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 2:30pm. The meetings are either in Kenilworth or Burgess Grove, Warwick. The subject matter of the Bible studies varies according to the spiritual needs of the group. Contact Dorothy Vaughan or Joan Humphreys for details.
